Biography:

Dr. Barnes is an experienced, board certified family practice physician. He completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State then moved onto medical school at Western University in Pomona, California. Dr. Barnes later completed a family practice residency in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After completing his family residency, he practiced medicine in rural Hereford, Texas for 16 years and most recently in Providence, Utah.

Dr. Barnes was born and raised in the rural community of Lewisville, Idaho (population 500). He and his wife Shelly are the proud parents of 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Dr. Barnes loves to spend time with his children and grandchildren, remodeling houses, rebuilding cars, skiing, swimming, hiking and working in their yard.

Dr. Barnes has a passion for healthcare in rural communities and is excited to be caring for the great people in our community. Dr. Barne’s patient-focus is family medicine--caring for patients of all ages and all healthcare needs.
